Built by SLY in 2012, this 54-footer is a pure expression of the Italian fast-cruising school: quick, sharp-lined and built to cover miles without giving up comfort below. Sixteen metres of sleek hull, a clean deck layout and a three-cabin interior make her equally suited to the demanding owner and the family crew with long passages in mind. Offered at €259,000 VAT paid.
Build and seakeeping
GRP hull with teak decks, 16 m overall, 4.40 m beam and 3 m draft — the numbers speak for themselves. At 16 tonnes displacement with a deep keel, she holds her line and points beautifully. Short-handed sailing is straightforward thanks to the battened in-mast mainsail, lazy jacks and lazy bag, while the full wardrobe — Olympics Sails genoa, two asymmetric spinnakers, gennaker on furler, staysail and adjustable backstay — covers every point of sail.
Power and autonomy
A 75 hp Volvo D2-75, four-cylinder with seawater cooling, shows 2,250 hours. Cruising at 7 knots for around 3 l/h, with 380 litres of diesel aboard, range under power is generous. With 550 litres of fresh water, a Paguro 3000 generator (900 h) and flexible solar panels, extended time at anchor is easy. Below, three cabins and six berths, up to 8 aboard underway, with a fully fitted galley: cooker, oven, electric fridge, freezer and cool box.

An opportunity worth taking
SLY 54s rarely come up on the brokerage market. This one is comprehensively equipped and ready to sail, with a sail wardrobe and electronics package suited to offshore passages as much as to sporty coastal cruising. Well worth a viewing.
