Built to cover miles with a full crew aboard, the Oceanis 423 Clipper remains one of Beneteau's most accomplished cruisers. This 2003 example, offered at €109,000 VAT paid, combines the living space of a modern 43-footer with easy, short-handed sailing. A true programme boat: coastal work, blue-water cruising, extended living aboard.
A proper offshore cruising hull
At 12.99 m overall with a 3.90 m beam and 2.10 m draft, the GRP hull displaces 11 tonnes - a guarantee of sea-kindliness and comfort in a chop. The deck is teak-laid, as is the cockpit. The rig includes a removable inner forestay and staysail for heavier airs, mainsail track and car, backstay and spinnaker gear, with halyards led aft.
Four cabins, ten berths
The Clipper layout provides 4 cabins and 10 berths, up to 12 people aboard, with a convertible saloon. The galley features a hob, ENO oven and electric fridge, hot water is available on board and tankage is generous: 550 litres of fresh water and 200 litres of fuel. The VOLVO D2-55 55 hp engine on shaft drive shows 3,850 hours, for a 6-knot cruising speed at around 2 litres per hour.
