Launched in 2022 and showing just 130 engine hours, this Aventura 34 comes in a full cruising specification. At 9.98 m overall with a 5.30 m beam, she fills a rare niche: a genuinely liveable catamaran that remains easy to handle and easy to berth, ideal for a couple or a family crew. Three cabins, six berths and eight persons under way - the brief is simple: cruise far without over-boating.
Build and seakeeping
GRP hull and deck, a moderate 4,400 kg displacement and a draft of only 0.85 m, opening up anchorages and shallow waters closed to monohulls. The rig is built around a fully battened roller-furling mainsail, a genoa and a gennaker on a bowsprit, with lazy jacks and lazy bag to keep handling simple. Mainsail track and traveller, halyard turning blocks and winch handle complete a deck laid out for two-handed sailing.
Power and autonomy
A 30 hp three-cylinder Yanmar 3YM30AE with 130 hours since new. At a 6-knot cruising speed for around 3 l/h, the 170-litre fuel capacity gives comfortable range, while 300 litres of fresh water, hot water and charging from solar panels and wind generator make extended time at anchor realistic. Below and on deck: convertible saloon, galley with hob, oven, microwave and electric fridge, teak cockpit with table, cushions and lighting, bathing platform and ladder, deck shower and gangway.
