NORMA is a unique Van de Stadt Norman 46 DS, designed for safe offshore sailing, long-distance cruising and comfortable liveaboard use. Her robust steel construction, centre cockpit and spacious deck saloon make her an excellent choice for sailors looking for a capable, comfortable and reliable cruising yacht. She is fully equipped for offshore sailing and can also be sailed single-handed.

The yacht underwent a major professional refit in 2004, during which a significant part of the yacht was renewed and upgraded. In 2025, the hull was professionally repainted at Wrede Shipyard in Germany.

Maintenance and condition

The Volvo Penta TAMD30A turbo diesel engine has been extensively serviced and upgraded over the years.

Recent maintenance includes replacement of the rudder bearings and the propeller shaft cutless bearing in October 2026.

The steel hull underwent professional ultrasonic thickness measurements in spring 2026, confirming it to be in very good structural condition.

Location and viewings

NORMA is being relocated from Finland to the Costa del Sol, Spain, during the period 12 October–20 November 2026. Viewings can be arranged at ports along the route or on the Costa del Sol after her arrival. Please contact me to discuss the yacht’s current location and viewing arrangements.

A marina berth may also be available.
