Notes

1987 Morgan 41 Classic, USD 52.000,-

1) I replaced the 2 x 100 Amh batteries for 2 x 300 ah lifePo4 lithium batteries last year. Installed 2 x 450 watt solar panels and a new solar arch. There are 2 x Victron solar regulators and a battery monitor plus a Victron DC to DC converter for charging the lithium batteries while motoring. There is also a lead acids starter battery and another one in the bow for the windlass that I installed last year.
2) There is a switchable dual fuel filter system in place.
3) One of the many reasons I bought a Morgan was for the encapsulated keel. No bolts to worry about. Plus the attack angle of the keel means you ride up and over any obstacles with zero damage.
Another feature of the Morgan is the center cockpit which is very safe. You will not be falling out of it. Plus it's is super comfortable in tough weather.
The Morgan also has external chain plates so you can see the condition of them. They are not buried under fiberglass.
4) The sails are very good 7 or 8 out of ten.
5) There is zero osmosis. It's my understanding these boats were built before the manufacturers switched to a cheaper resin which started all the problems.
The Hull was sanded down to the gel coat in May of this year. Then 2 battier coats were put on followed by 4 Copper Coats ($2400) which should be good for 6 to 10 years - they say. And so far it is working very good.
6) Right now the boat is moored in fresh water in Rio Dulce. Come December if not sold I will sail the boat to Boot Key Florida.
