2017 Beneteau Oceanis 55, EUR 375.000,-
There is something particularly appealing about a larger cruising yacht that has been genuinely enjoyed, thoughtfully upgraded and looked after with care. ZEN is a privately owned, never-chartered 2017 Beneteau Oceanis 55 Owner's Version, and she makes a very good impression on inspection. Having been aboard in Athens, I was struck by her presentation and by the attention her owners give to the condition of the boat, her equipment and the practical details of life afloat.
That care is more than a claim in an advertisement. ZEN's owners keep a detailed, ongoing maintenance and improvement record, with issues identified, logged and attended to rather than simply put aside. The 2026 programme documents engine and generator servicing, an exhaust-elbow replacement, attention to the generator seawater pump, saildrive oil and anodes, through-hull fittings, sail servicing and antifouling, alongside targeted repairs and renewals. It is a reassuringly methodical approach to ownership, and an important part of what makes ZEN stand out.
Her Owner's Version layout is equally attractive: a generous forward suite, two comfortable aft double cabins and a separate forward crew cabin, complemented by a bright saloon, practical galley and spacious twin-helm cockpit. The cruising inventory has clearly been developed with time aboard in mind. For owners who enjoy relaxing at anchor after an exciting day's sail, ZEN's 660W solar installation, 150-litre-per-hour watermaker, Fisher Panda 10kVA generator, Marinco 2,000W inverter and CRISTEC charging equipment make longer periods away from marinas more practical, with less reliance on shore power and shore-based water supplies. Reverse-cycle air conditioning adds comfort aboard, while Dock & Go, the Side-Power bow thruster, electric winches and B&G navigation equipment help make handling more manageable for a cruising couple.
ZEN's appeal is the combination of her Owner's Version accommodation, substantial cruising equipment and the evident attention she has received. Currently in Athens, Greece, and offered at €375,000 VAT paid, ZEN is available for inspection by appointment. Buyers who appreciate a yacht whose maintenance records and onboard presentation are as interesting as her equipment list will find her well worth a closer look.

Comments
A March 2024 survey addendum recorded unusual engine-speed/tachometer readings and recommended investigation by an authorised Yanmar engineer before sailing. The outcome of this recommendation is being clarified against subsequent service records.
The May 2026 maintenance schedule recorded localised bow-thruster tunnel GRP reinforcement and replacement of two through-hull valves. It also recommended attention to the generator seawater-pump shaft and saildrive rubber boot at the next service; current status is being checked. A B&G software update attempt in May 2026 was unsuccessful; the current software status remains to be confirmed.
