• The fixed price has been realistically calculated as a low entry-level price for a catamaran with this unmatched level of technical off-grid capacity.
• Factored-In Projects: All clearly disclosed cosmetic and age-related maintenance items—specifically the refreshing of the upper deck paintwork (including cockpit, cabin, and hardtop), the non-structural (hairline) cracks in the deck, gelcoat near two stanchions and the anchor windlass, a minor cosmetic gelcoat scratch on the hull caused by a marina berth screw (properly sealed with epoxy primer), the replacement of (some) interior vinyl linings, and the future re-bedding/sealing of the newer (panoramic) windows—are already fully and generously calculated into this fixed price. The price will not be renegotiated based on these known characteristics.

To give you full confidence, we invite any independent pre-purchase survey or inspection to be organized at the buyer's own expense, or your own thorough personal inspection, to verify the vessel's sound technical and hull structure. Why the Snowgoose Elite? The Elite was built from 1986 to 2002, while the regular
37 Snowgoose version was built from 1978 to 1986. The Snowgoose Elite is the ultimate evolution of the definitive cruising catamaran. Compared to the standard version, the Elite features a redesigned hull with an increased beam (+1 foot/30 cm), deeper draft (+2 inches/ 5 cm), a taller mast (+5 inches/13 cm), and a heavier displacement. This results in significantly improved stability, better performance, and superior living comfort.

Chosen as #2 of the top nine cruising boats of all time by Cruising World Magazine, the Prout 37 Snowgoose Elite is an “affordable” blue water catamaran. Specifications & Technical Details
Unique Feature: Twin Hydraulic Propulsion
Unlike standard Prouts with a high-maintenance mechanical outdrive leg, "Skot" features a hydraulic motor setup. A single, powerful Craftsman Marine CM 4.42 (42 HP) diesel engine (installed new in 2015), expected ± 2.000 running hours upon arrival in NL. This pump distributes power to two independent Volvo F11 hydraulic drive units (one in each hull).
• Handling: The hydraulic flows to the port and starboard hulls are fully independently operated via dual throttles at the helm. This allows you to run one side forward and the other in reverse, enabling the boat to turn on its own length for incredibly easy marina maneuvering.
• Redundancy & Maintenance: While powered by one central engine (creating a single power source), this system completely eliminates the leaks and corrosion risks of traditional saildrives or mechanical outdrive legs. All high-pressure hydraulic propulsion hoses were fully renewed in 2018; only the low-pressure return hose remains original as it showed no signs of aging.
• Capacity: 145L stainless steel diesel tank + spare throttle and steering cable.

Rigging & Premium Sail Wardrobe (Ocean-Proven)
The entire rig and sail setup underwent a comprehensive, high-end upgrade designed for ultimate reliability. Only premium, over-spec components were selected, ensuring long-term structural integrity:

Features a complete, heavy-duty mast, boom, standing rigging & 80% running rigging setup, Andersen 28st two-speed (main sail), custom-built in 2015 by Neut Masten (a design legacy now supported by the renowned Marcel Compleet rigging company).
