Built by Transworld Yacht in 1979, this 41-footer belongs to that generation of offshore cruising yachts designed to cover miles in comfort and safety. A 12.50 m GRP hull, sixteen tonnes of displacement and a two-cabin layout: everything about her speaks of serious voyaging. Offered as a used yacht at €59,000 incl. VAT.
Build and seakeeping
Polyester hull with GRP deck, teak deck and cockpit renewed in 2005. At 12.50 m in length, 3.63 m beam and just 1.80 m draft for 16 tonnes, the Transworld 41 combines the reassuring motion of a heavy-displacement hull with a moderate draft that opens up plenty of anchorages. The rig includes a fully battened mainsail with lazy jacks and lazy bag, a 2017 genoa, removable inner forestay, backstay, mainsail traveller, bowsprit and spinnaker gear.
Power and autonomy
The 50 hp Perkins 4108, a four-cylinder raw-water cooled diesel, shows 3,965 hours on a stern drive transmission. Cruising at 6 knots for roughly 2 l/h, with 350 litres of fuel and 350 litres of fresh water, her range matches the programme. Below, 6 berths in 2 cabins, 8 persons allowed on board, hot water from 220V and engine, cooker, oven, electric fridge and Bluetooth stereo.
