The Elan Impression 50 is manufactured using a vacuum infusion process and incorporates a crucial protective vinylester resin barrier. The construction method employed is the 3D VAIL (Vacuum-Assisted Infusion Lamination). The hull combines fiberglass and resin with a foam core in the topsides to reduce weight, while retaining a solid fiberglass laminate for the bottom to ensure maximum impact resistance.
