In the numerous tests of the Fox 22 carried out by various types of sailing magazines, the Fox 22 also presents itself as an extremely stable and comfortable sailboat. Especially due to its stability and sailing characteristics, the Fox 22 stands out compared to other yachts of the same length. Further notable features include the no-nonsense character, solid construction, and very simple maintenance requirements of the Fox 22. The long waterline, wide aft, and relatively low weight ensure that the hull of the Fox 22 has very low water resistance. In combination with the modern 7/8 rig, a sporty sailing yacht emerges that 'gets going' at the slightest breeze and responds very directly to the helm and sail trimming. The concept of the Fox 22 is: Plenty of space on deck, in the cockpit, and in the cabin. Spartan in terms of equipment, with as few bells and whistles in the cabin as possible, and intended to make use of shore facilities. In return, the maintenance and management of the Fox take minimal time and the boat is always ready to set sail. Of course, the equipment can be expanded with a range of options, but many Fox sailors actually do not find that necessary.
