Olen ammattimerenkulkija, ja olen purjehtinut tällä Fairline 50:llä jo yli 10 vuotta.
Sen vahvuuksia ovat erityisen alhaiset käyttökustannukset verrattuna muihin vastaaviin veneisiin. TAMD-moottoreihin pääsee helposti käsiksi, ne ovat erittäin taloudellisia (30 l/h molemmille moottoreille 16 solmun nopeudella) ja verotukseltaan edullisia.
Toinen huomionarvoinen seikka on erinomainen tilavuus. Lähes koko rungon leveys on hyödynnetty, ja hytit ovat tilavia, puhumattakaan keittiöstä, jonka mitat ovat vertaansa vailla.
