Built by Corsair Marine in 2008, this trimaran sits in a category of its own: fast enough to post high averages, civilised enough for family cruising. The Corsair 37 is the largest folding model in the range, made for sailors who want real speed without giving up the convenience of a trailerable, easily stored boat. A well-kept used example, offered at €124,900 VAT paid.
Construction and seakeeping
Polyester hull with GRP deck, 10.97 m overall, 7.80 m beam with the floats deployed and 1.83 m draft. At just 2,500 kg, the weight-to-power ratio is the headline figure: crisp acceleration, effortless high-speed sailing and a draft shallow enough for tucked-away anchorages. The rig is backed by a full sail wardrobe, with a battened roller-furling mainsail, boom fitted with lazy jacks and lazy bag, mainsheet track and traveller, and a bowsprit for downwind sails.
Performance and life aboard
A 15 hp Honda 15 outboard, original to the boat (2008) with 600 hours, handles harbour manoeuvres and transits, while cruising speed under sail is 7 knots. Below and on deck: 6 berths, 8 people capacity, a convertible saloon, galley with 3-burner Eno hob, electric fridge and icebox, 132 litres of water and 30 litres of fuel. Companionway cover, sun awning, bathing platform and ladder and deck shower round out a layout clearly aimed at active coastal cruising.
