De Nelson Pilot is een snel varend schip met 2 diesel motoren.Uitermate geschikt voor varen op groot water en lange tochten.

De Nelson Pilot 40 is een van de meest iconische loodsboten ooit ontworpen. (Ontwerp van: Arthur Mursell en gebouwd door Halmatic UK) Het schip 12 meter lang, de romp is gemaakt van zeer sterk glasvezel (GRP) en de opbouw is van aluminium. Het schip werd vroeger gebruikt voor het vervoer van personen naar en van schepen te brengen op zee. Het schip is dus uitermate geschikt voor groot en ruw water, en uitermate geschikt voor langere tochten. Verder is het schip van binnen voorzien van alle gemakken ; Stuurhut, een keuken, nieuwe douche / toilet, zithoek, 2 vaste slaapplaatsen en 2 extra slaapplaatsen in de kajuit. Twee zeer sterke diesel motoren Cummins 150 KW / 204 PK
