The Southerly 105 Ketch (1981) is a characteristic British sailing yacht featuring an electro-hydraulic lifting keel and a skeg-mounted liftable rudder. This allows the vessel to combine excellent sailing characteristics with a variable draft of approximately 1.00 to 2.10 meters, making it ideal for coastal and tidal waters as well as shallow inland waters such as the IJsselmeer, the Wadden Sea, and the Frisian Lakes. The relatively rare ketch version offers extra flexibility in sail handling and ensures a stable course.
