Built by Jeanneau in 1988, the Sun Rise 35 remains a safe bet in family cruising. This 10.73 m yacht combines a practical deck layout, a warm interior and a reputation for sound seakeeping, in a size easily handled shorthanded. A well-found example, offered at €24,900 incl. VAT.
Construction and seakeeping
GRP hull and fibreglass deck for a proven structure and straightforward maintenance. At 10.73 m LOA, 3.54 m beam and 1.80 m draft, with a displacement of 4,700 kg, she offers stability at sea without dulling her liveliness. The rig works with a fully battened mainsail and genoa, lazy jacks and lazy bag on the boom, mainsail track and car, backstay and halyard turning blocks for comfortable cockpit handling.
Engine and life aboard
Power comes from a YANMAR 3GM 27 hp diesel, three cylinders with raw-water cooling and shaft drive, showing 1,750 hours. At a 6-knot cruising speed for around 1 l/h, range under power is generous with 100 litres of fuel, backed by 200 litres of fresh water. Below, 2 cabins and 6 berths, a galley with hob, oven and electric fridge, hot water, and a teak cockpit sheltered by bimini and sprayhood.
