ALCYONE is a rare 2004 Outremer 55 Light, one of the last units built under Gérard Danson’s direct involvement, currently based in Amanu, Tuamotu Archipelago in French Polynesia.



Owned and continuously cruised by an experienced sailor since 2017, she has explored some of the most remote and beautiful regions of the Pacific, from New Zealand to Canada, via the Roaring Forties and Mexico. Unlike many brokerage listings, ALCYONE is a living boat: permanently occupied and carefully maintained.



A major refit was carried out in New Zealand in 2017–2018. Numerous upgrades and improvements have been completed during her current ownership. A full haul-out, independent survey, antifouling, and rudder service are scheduled for August 2026, ensuring that the boat will be delivered fully operational and ready for immediate blue-water cruising. The boat is prepared for autonomy, and a substantial inventory of tools, spare parts, and equipment is included in the sale.



From late August onward, ALCYONE will be available in the Society Islands (Raiatea / Tahaa) for inspections and sea trials. An independent marine survey is already scheduled. Serious buyers are also warmly welcome to visit the boat before 10 July in Amanu and experience firsthand one of the most beautiful and remote cruising grounds in French Polynesia.



ALCYONE is hull number 24 of the Outremer 55 Light series. We previously completed a seven-year circumnavigation aboard hull number 7 of the same model, giving us extensive experience with these remarkable catamarans.
