Calacimbre may be excactly the yacht for you, If you want to sail an easy to handle modern design cruiser in the Med (or anywhere else for that sake), you prefer a comfortable owner's yacht that accommodates two + two guests in comfort, and a boat that is well maintained and renewed where neccessary. All at a reasonable prise compared to a new boat.

""Calacimbre" is Spanish for "lullaby", pointing to the fact that she was initially imported to Gran Canaria in 2007, and sailed there as a private yacht until 2022. She has never been chartered, has only been lightly sailed, and is in exceptional condition. We bought her in 2021, and sailed her to Croatia where she now is berthed. The following features proves her versatility:

Recent maintenance work comprises:

• ​All 6 major curved acrylic windows replaced and re-caulked. (This removes the single largest problem you will probably face when buying a second hand 42DS)
  
• Underwater hull taken down to old epoxy and checked for osmosis, added 5 layers of new epoxy and full Hempel Silic One treatment
  
• Cutlass bearing and Volvo drive shaft gasket replaced
  
• Rudder taken off and checked for rudder bearing wear
  
• Major through-hull fittings and valves replaced
  

We prefer sailing off-season, so we equipped Calacimbre for all season sailing and living on board. The following features provides this ability;
