2017 CabinSib 32 Trimaran, 12 500 EUR

"Twilight" is the expertly American-built Cabin Sib 32 designed by John Marples, that was sailed solo in July 2016 from Florida to the Netherlands by Arie Baartman, where he provided the flushdecker with a small cabin. Then he sailed the tri to South Portugal in early 2017 to extend the floats and the main hull from over 9m to 12m. During the Corona lockdown he sailed again across the Atlantic to the Antilles to show the improvements in practice. The return journey to Portugal via the Northern route showed that the longer hulls also perform well to windward with the original sloop rig. Arie wants to focus more on his new "Tentmaran" project and has prepared the "Twilight" for another ocean voyage and a new owner. Late March Arie departed southwards on a voyage with unknown destination towards the Caribbean or South America. Last July the trimaran arrived back in the Algarve.
