2013 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 509 | Five-Cabin Performance Cruiser

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 509 is a highly versatile cruiser that combines modern performance with exceptional comfort at sea. Built in 2013, this five-cabin yacht offers generous accommodation for up to 12 guests, making her equally suited for private cruising or charter use. Designed with a powerful yet manageable sail plan and twin helm stations, she delivers confident handling and effortless passage-making.

Powered by a Yanmar 75hp diesel engine with saildrive, the Sun Odyssey 509 cruises comfortably at 7–8 knots, with a top speed of 9 knots under power. Her fractional sloop rig with furling mainsail and genoa provides over 120 m² of sail area for strong upwind performance, while self-tailing winches and lines led aft ensure easy sail handling from the cockpit. A bow thruster, autopilot, and full navigation suite further enhance control and safety offshore.

Below deck, the warm teak interior and clever layout offer exceptional space and comfort. The five-cabin, three-heads configuration includes two aft doubles, two forward doubles, and a bunk cabin, plus a convertible saloon berth. A linear galley, U-shaped saloon, and excellent ventilation create a welcoming environment for extended stays onboard. On deck, the spacious cockpit with twin wheels, teak flooring, bimini, sprayhood, and an aft swim platform ensures both relaxation and functionality for all aboard.

The condition or level of safety equipment on board is not to be negotiated on following survey. It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.

Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.
