Steel expedition yacht built in Germany for serious long‑range cruising and high‑latitude operations. Originally designed and commissioned by a naval architect, she was purpose‑built to combine robust construction, redundant systems and all‑season capability with practical liveaboard comfort.

The hull is constructed in heavy‑duty steel with a 25 mm bottom plate, 10 mm keel, 5 mm plating below the waterline, 4 mm above, and 3 mm deck plating. Frames are spaced at 400 mm, and the bow has a collision bulkhead to contain floodwater in the event the bow is breached. She is divided into three watertight bulkheads, providing a level of safety and compartmentalisation rarely found in yachts of this size.

The lifting keel and bilge fins allow safe grounding and access to shallow waters while maintaining excellent offshore performance. Combined with large tank capacities and a well‑engineered systems layout, she is designed for autonomy on extended voyages far from support.

For cold‑climate sailing, she is insulated with 3 cm foam, carried down to 10 cm below the waterline, and equipped with hydronic heating that can run on either diesel or shore power. She has been lived aboard through Norwegian winters, demonstrating her capability as a true all‑season vessel.

Powered by the legendary Mercedes OM352—a fully mechanical, field‑serviceable engine known for reliability in expedition use—she offers simple maintenance, global parts availability and confidence in remote regions. Fuel is managed through a detailed diesel system with a day tank, two main tanks, multi‑stage filtration and an additional switchover filter for redundancy.

Safety systems include two independent bilge pumps, each on its own battery bank, and manual emergency steering via tiller.

She has a documented history of long‑distance cruising in Europe, and for the past 12 years has been a dependable companion on voyages in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Her interior is warm, practical and comfortable without compromising her expedition‑grade engineering.

My original ambition was to take her on a longer expedition voyage, something she is clearly built for. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, those plans are no longer realistic. It is therefore time for a new owner to take her further and continue the journey she was designed for.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a well‑designed, heavily built, high‑latitude expedition yacht—ready for new adventures, whether coastal, offshore or into the high latitudes she was built to explore.
