Version française ci-dessous; contactez-nous pour une assistance en français. The Oceanis 45 hits a sweet spot: big enough to feel like a true cruising platform, manageable enough to sail short-handed, and designed with the kind of interior volume that makes extended time aboard genuinely comfortable. Buka is the desirable four-cabin version, offering exceptional versatility without compromising the sailing characteristics the 45 is known for.Below deck, the layout is practical and well thought through. She features four double cabins, each with proper storage cabinetry and good natural light, making her ideal for family cruising, shared ownership, or charter use. The two heads are cleverly configured with dual access doors, one from the saloon and one from the adjoining aft cabin, giving privacy and flexibility that work extremely well underway or at anchor. The saloon is bright and open, with the dining table to starboard and a proper navigation station integrated into the living space. Opposite, the L-shaped galley to port is secure at sea and well equipped. You’ll find a waist-height front-opening fridge, a separate top-loading freezer, double stainless sinks with hot and cold pressure water, and a two-burner gas stove with oven. Storage is generous, with eight cabinets on the galley side and four more along the saloon, so longer provisioning is not an issue. A TV is installed for onboard comfort when you’re settled in for the evening.Out in the cockpit is where the Buka really shines. Twin helms give excellent visibility and easy movement through to the wide swim platform aft. Buka is set up for comfortable outdoor living with a full bimini offering 2.3 meters of headroom, a fold-down dodger, full cockpit cushions, and a folding cockpit table that seats up to eight. The electrically actuated swim platform drops down to create a large beach-style access to the water, perfect for Caribbean anchorages.Ground tackle is strong and ready for serious cruising. The primary anchor is paired with 80 meters of chain, backed up by a secondary anchor with 35 meters. The windlass was replaced in 2024 with a powerful Quick 1500W unit. A 2025 Plastimo Transocean four-person life-raft adds further offshore capability.Under sail, she carries Elvstrøm canvas on a Z.Spar mast and boom. The fully battened mainsail with three reef points and furling genoa offer a balanced, easily managed sail plan. All control lines are led aft to the cockpit, handled through Spinlock clutches and Harken two-speed winches, allowing for confident short-handed sailing. A whisker pole and spinnaker halyard are already in place for downwind passages.Electronics are solid and current. Dual B&G Zeus2 7” chartplotters are mounted at both helms, supported by depth, wind, and log instrumentation and a Halo20 radar on the mast. A Raymarine p70s autopilot keeps her tracking well on passage. Communication and connectivity are well covered with a B&G V60 VHF with AIS, handheld VHF, Iridium GO satellite unit, and Starlink Mini.Power management is equally well considered, with a 550W solar array feeding Victron SmartSolar MPPT controllers, a substantial battery bank, shore power with Cristec charger, and inverters for onboard 230V use.Overall, Buka presents as a properly equipped, ready-to-go Oceanis 45 in the sought-after four-cabin configuration. She offers the volume, performance, and autonomy that make this model so popular worldwide. For buyers looking for a capable cruising platform with real accommodation flexibility, she deserves serious consideration.
