J/105 – DJThe J/105 is an outstanding combination of speed, sailing comfort and ease of handling. Designed by Rod Johnstone, this sailing yacht was developed as a performance cruiser that can be sailed equally well with family and friends or with a smaller crew. The J/105 is renowned for her responsive steering, strong sailing performance and efficient, straightforward rig. The combination of a stable hull, deep bulb keel and relatively light displacement provides confidence both when sailing competitively and on longer passages.

This 2006 J/105 DJ, built by T.P.I. France, measures 10.51 metres in length, 3.35 metres in beam and has a 1.98-metre draft. With CE Category A certification and capacity for up to eight people, she is suitable for both competitive sailing and offshore use. The spacious and uncluttered cockpit, wheel steering and efficient deck layout make her easy to handle, while the design performs equally well on the race course and during longer cruising passages.

The yacht is powered by a Volvo Penta D1-20 20 hp diesel engine, driving a shaft with a two-bladed folding propeller. The electrical system includes two batteries, battery charger, alternator and shore power. Navigation and communication equipment includes Raymarine ST60 log, depth and wind instruments, a Raymarine S1 autopilot, Garmin GPS and an iCOM VHF radio.

The sail inventory further enhances the appeal of this J/105 for the performance-oriented sailor. The fractional rig features an aluminium mast and a total of seven sails, including a 2022 Winning Sails mainsail, various Hagoort headsails and several asymmetric spinnakers, providing excellent performance on reaching and downwind courses.

Below deck, the J/105 offers a sporty and light interior with four fixed berths and two additional berths, a practical galley, manual toilet, 100-litre freshwater tank and Webasto hot-air heating.
