From 1948 she served with the Wasser- und Schifffahrtsamt in Lauenburg (Germany). During this conversion, a large part of the underwater hull was renewed. In 2007/2008, a fully overhauled Gardner diesel engine was installed, renowned for its reliability and smooth, quiet operation.
