Built by DUFOUR YACHTS, this 2006 525 GL embodies the French yard's philosophy: an offshore cruising yacht able to cover serious mileage without compromising on life aboard. At 15.30 m overall, with three cabins and seven berths, she suits family crews and long-distance programmes alike. Offered at €199,000 incl. VAT.
Build and seakeeping
GRP hull and teak deck for a solid, well-bred yacht. The 525 GL measures 15.30 m by 4.90 m with a 2.00 m draft and an 18-tonne displacement that gives her a sound, reassuring motion at sea. The rig works with a full-batten in-mast mainsail, an ELVSTROM 2020 genoa, a spinnaker with its sock and a staysail. The boom received lazy jacks and a lazy bag in 2024. Mainsail track and car, backstay, halyard turning blocks and winch handles complete the deck gear.
Power and range
Propulsion comes from a VOLVO D2-75 of 75 HP, four cylinders with sea-water cooling, fitted in 2022 and showing 1,980 hours. Cruising speed is 7 knots for 2 l/h, with 400 litres of diesel and 800 litres of fresh water aboard - range built for long passages. Onboard power relies on a PANDA 6 kVA generator from 2023 (415 hours), 1,200 W of solar panels, a wind generator, service batteries and VICTRON chargers from 2025.
