At the end of the eighties Viknes came on the market with the Viknes 770. A quirky and seaworthy ship like we can expect from a Norwegian quality shipyard. It was the beginning of a long series of successful models. The Viknes ships are particularly lined and exceptionally strong, so sailing on the open sea is no problem at all. After a stable growth period, the shipyard was startled by a major fire in the year 2000. A year later a new production hall was built and Viknes started with a new series of models. In 2012 the Viknes 930 became "Powerboat of the year".

At the moment Viknes is one of the largest yacht builders in Norway. All Viknes ships are approved by the Norwegian certification body "Norske Veritas" under CE design category B. Viknes not only builds the famous Viknes models but also produces the beautiful models from Skilsø. A brand they took over years ago and breathed new life into. The VIKNES 8 is the latest addition to the Viknes range of successful models. This new model is aimed at anglers and people who pretend to have a large spacious cockpit. This 2 person boat is ideal for all weather types because of the quality construction that belongs to the Norwegian boat builders. The quality is dripping off, this can be seen on the outside as well as the interest of the models they produce at the Viknes shipyard. The Viknes 8 is the smallest model and with its powerful Yanmar 250hp engine it is a lively boat with power and endurance. The normal model has enough luxury that one expects with a boat like this. Of course there are many options to choose from to make this polyester powerhouse your own!
