The Helmsman 42, constructed in 1992 by the renowned Helmsman Shipyard in Denmark, is a versatile vintage racer located in Limanu Marina, Romania. This 12.90m yacht, designed by Reetz, features a round bilged hull crafted from a GRP sandwich with Dyvinicell foam and Kevlar for enhanced durability. It boasts a grey, freshly spray-painted hull and an inviting stern cockpit. Equipped with a Volvo Penta MD2030 engine from 2005, this vessel has been comprehensively refitted with a focus on safety and ease of use, including a 3-ton bulb keel and modernised electrical systems. Accommodation includes three cabins and six berths, complemented by modern comforts such as a two-burner gas stove and a manual toilet. With a fractional sloop rig and a suite of sails including a mainsail and three spinnakers, the Helmsman 42 is prepared for both leisure cruising and performance sailing.
