SY Aprilia is a one-of-a-kind, 17-metre mahogany ocean cruiser, designed by the famous Swedish yacht designer Arvid Laurin and built in 1963 by Brott Jacobsson in Draksmark, Sweden, to a special commission.
This is the only yacht of its kind in the world, with original design plans archived at the National Swedish Maritime Museum in Stockholm.

Aprilia is more than just a boat – she is a piece of living maritime history, with a proven ocean-going hull, a distinctive long keel and classic lines that turn heads in every harbour.

***ENGINE - I did a complete engine overhaul, replacing many parts just to have it done for next 10 years. I'll send the engine this week to marina by courier. If I will not sell this boat, or take yacht delivery job, I'll mount the engine in the second half of May. If not - I'll send Aprilia to shipyard and they will do that in June, or later. No rush in Sicily. Dopo domani.
*** Main mast - it was rotten below the deck. Now it has a wooden extension with stainless steel mounting. To mount the mast I have to sail to shipyard it means I'll install it after the engine.
