Storebro 25 Solö Ruff nr. 635 (1961):

A beautiful classic wooden Storebro Solö Ruff "Gjördis", built in Storebro in 1961. Hull/construction number 635.

The boat has undergone an refit in 2020, including hull, superstructure and exterior details. In addition to this the engine has been replaced with a newer good condition Volvo B20 with approximately 230 hours on it.

The boat is very spacious with a large open cockpit, fixed aft bench, fold-out table, a engine cover, a bench for 2 people at the helm on the port side, a storage cupboard on the starboard side, and a cozy sleeping area for 2 people in the bow. Plenty of storage space under the benches. Steering is mechanical with original console and rudder in place. The headroom under the canopy is 190 cm. The interior is wood with a glossy finish and the upholstery color is blue.

The boat is fully equipped in accordance with registration requirements.

The boat is located on dock in Turku and available to view upon request.

Completed Restoration and Maintenance Work on Gjördis” (A33674):

Hull and planking repairs: Damaged sections of the underwater planks replaced (3 on the port side, 1 on the starboard side). Additionally, the frames in the aft locker reinforced with laminated oak frames.

Stem repair: The joint in the stem restored and secured.

Deck restoration: Deck hardware removed, wood sanded down to bare, mahogany parts were stained, and the deck was meticulously revarnished 10 times with intermediate sandings.

Cockpit restoration: Weathered mahogany components in the cockpit were removed, sanded down to bare wood, repaired, and revarnished 7 times.

Surface treatment: The topsides, transom, and window frames sanded and refreshed with a maintenance coat of varnish. The bottom and waterline repainted.

Commissioning: Seams below the waterline sealed with bitumen putty to minimize leaking upon launching.
