Carter 37 Dick Carter Design IYRU One Tonner World Champion Heritage

A beautifully designed sloop from legendary American designer Dick Carter, born from the iconic IYRU One Tonner world‑champion lineage of 1973. Following its racing success, the model entered serial production at the renowned Greek shipyard Olimpic Marine, and this particular example is one of the very last units built.

Originally owned by the shipyard owner himself, she was constructed in the cruising version, featuring a full inventory and a classic teak deck. Her interior is a rare one‑off layout, including a navigation table positioned under the main bulkhead and a private skipper’s queen‑size berth in the starboard stern—separated from the saloon for comfort and privacy.

Between 2022 and 2024, this Carter 37 underwent a complete refit, with all major systems, structural elements, and crucial components either fully renewed or professionally restored. The result is a yacht in excellent condition, ready for both relaxed cruising and spirited racing.

The present owner has also invested in an extensive sail wardrobe over the years, including numerous sail bags and two spinnakers, making her a versatile performer for any sailing ambition.
