The Baltic 51 - Gatsby, a classic long-distance cruiser in a class of its own, built by Baltic Yachts in Finland as the last of this type.







Constructed as a cruising yacht with high regatta potential, the Gatsby was developed in high quality and from the best high-tech materials of the time. The rod rigging and the hull made of balsa sandwich construction in combination with unidirectional rovings give the ship solid, rigidity coupled with a low weight of only approx. 16t for this class of ship.







The Gatsby won several prizes in regattas and became a legend thanks to the book "An Impossible Törn" by Wilfried Erdmann.



The Gatsby was able to demonstrate its capabilities on various Atlantic crossings and is still sailed by its owners today as an ocean-going cruise ship. The yacht grounded several times but all of which were professionally repaired, most recently in Neustadt 2021.







Lovingly and lavishly maintained, the Gatsby will spend the 2024 season until August in various ports on the Baltic Sea and is available for viewing.

Baltic 51 - Gatsby, una classica nave da crociera a lunga percorrenza con una classe a sé stante, costruita da Baltic Yachts in Finlandia come ultimo esemplare del suo genere.



Progettato come yacht da crociera con un alto potenziale da regata, Gatsby è stato sviluppato con l'alta qualità e i migliori materiali high-tech dell'epoca. Il sartiame in tondino e lo scafo realizzato con una struttura a sandwich di balsa, in combinazione con i tralicci unidirezionali, conferiscono all'imbarcazione solidità e rigidità, unite a un peso ridotto di sole 16 tonnellate circa per questa classe di imbarcazioni.



Gatsby vinse diversi premi in regata e divenne una leggenda grazie al libro "An Impossible Törn" di Wilfried Erdmann.

Gatsby ha dimostrato le sue eccellenti capacità di navigazione in diverse traversate dell'Atlantico e la nave è ancora oggi navigata dai suoi proprietari come nave da crociera oceanica. La nave ha avuto diversi incagli, tutti riparati professionalmente, l'ultimo dei quali a Neustadt nel 2021.



Curata con amore e lusso, la Gatsby trascorrerà la stagione 2024 fino ad agosto in vari porti del Mar Baltico.



Le visite avranno luogo ovunque la nave si trovi in quel momento.
