The ultra-modern hull of the Cigale 16, designed by the architects at the Alubat shipyard, offers the best compromise between comfort and performance for long-distance cruising. A true marathon runner, which can be described as a crossover, it allows you to cover the miles in complete safety. The efficient and simple deck layout allows a small crew to handle the boat’s full potential with ease. Fast and elegant, the Cigale 16 is built entirely from aluminium to ensure safety; the cockpit has been designed to facilitate manoeuvres, particularly with an electric winch for the mainsail halyard, and special attention has been paid to the protection of the crew.

The quality of its interior fittings ensures perfect harmony with its clean lines. Its central saloon, which is very light thanks to its portholes and hatches, combined with a balanced layout of the cabins and bathrooms, makes it a very pleasant yacht to live on.

Efficient, easy and safe in all circumstances. This 2007 Alubat Cigale 16 is a second-hand yacht, fitted with a 55 HP Volvo Penta D2 75 SD engine. Equipped with 3 double cabins and 2 bathrooms, it can comfortably accommodate 6 to 10 passengers (the intention is for a maximum of 6/7 crew members). On deck, the yacht is fitted with a retractable and removable aluminium bowsprit, a sprayhood in the cockpit, a bimini top, an electric windlass and a Yamaha 15hp outboard motor. It has been fitted with solar panels, a heating system, a Mase generator, a watermaker and a battery controller. It also features an autopilot, GPS and chart plotter, wind indicator and depth sounder (all by Raymarine), radar (Furuno), VHF radio and BLU radio.

Fitted with a 2015 spinnaker, 2015 code zero, 2015 genaker (all three with very little use), 2024 genoa, late 2022 jib, new racing mainsail from late 2022, and new sheets from late 2022. Inboard engine, outboard, generator and watermaker serviced in late 2023.

The Alubat-built Cigale 16 ‘Sargantal Zulú’ is an aluminium-hulled vessel with special reinforcements in the hull, as well as high-strength, oversized rigging. Designed for ocean or offshore crossings with guaranteed seaworthiness in the most adverse conditions.

Although not designed for racing, it can sail happily as a good competition prototype and surf in suitable conditions. The aluminium construction allows for emergency hull repairs, with a high chance of reaching port safely for further repairs. The draught of 2.40 metres and a jib allow us to sail close-hauled in winds of over 30 knots. The beam and the wide stern facilitate and accelerate sailing downwind.

In short, safe and comfortable sailing in all conditions; in fact, the certification allows for sailing in waves of up to 7 metres.

The equipment: watermaker, generator, solar panels, VHF radio, comfortable accommodation and a variety of sail options make the Sargantal Zulú a vessel capable of satisfying even the most demanding sailors.
