The boat is equipped with dual Volvo Penta KAMD43 diesel engines with a total of 460 hp installed with straight shafts – a highly appreciated drivetrain that combines reliability, good fuel economy, and low maintenance costs. The engines have approximately 1200 hours of operation, and several major investments have been made in recent years, including the replacement of both turbochargers in 2025 and extensive updates to the cooling and exhaust systems. Seals, hoses, and several technical components have also been renewed, making the boat appear very well-maintained mechanically.
The Nimbus 380 Carisma is a model that has become highly appreciated thanks to its well-thought-out layout and social spaces. The flybridge offers good visibility and pleasant social areas while underway, while the salon provides a bright and cozy feel with generously sized seating groups and large windows. The interior features include new original cushions from Nimbus in the salon, new carpets from Marine Design, a new diesel heater from Eberspächer, new flybridge and aft cushions in Silvertex, and an updated forepeak with new cushions and mattress topper. In 2024, a new electric toilet with new hoses and a new refrigerator and fridge/freezer box were installed.
The navigation equipment has been modernized with dual Raymarine Axiom plotters from 2021, radar integrated into the Raymarine system, and autopilot. The combination of dual diesel engines, straight shafts, and bow thruster makes the boat very easy to handle and provides a safe and stable feeling both underway and when maneuvering in the harbor.
Externally, the boat has also undergone several improvements. Among other things, a completely new and redesigned cockpit canopy was installed in 2024 with a significantly more open solution without obstructive canopy bows, providing a much more pleasant and social aft deck. The boat is also equipped with electric windlasses both fore and aft, a bimini for the flybridge, a teak table in the cockpit, and davits from Båtsystem for dinghy handling.
The boat is sold including the original cradle, winter storage stand, and winter covers, and has documented service history via MMG Marine in Karlshamn.
