The Sun Odyssey 39S has beautiful and timeless lines and is very light and pleasant under deck! The hull was designed by Marc Lombart and is suitable for family sailing, long trips or solo sailing with both furling mainsail and genoa.
The boat is registered in the Norwegian Ship Register (NOR) and can therefore be mortgaged. Is in Kristiansand with a ferry connection to Hirtshals in Denmark. about 160km sailing trip to Skagen in Denmark
The previous owner has used the boat as a residence so there is some wear and tear on, among other things, the interior. I bought it to renovate it, I have spent a lot of money on the boat and spent a lot of time getting it in the condition it deserves. But due to health challenges, I want to sell it at a very reduced price to someone who wants to spend a few weekends and evenings before the holiday doing the last things.
Deck and cockpit:
stanchion gates on both sides, spacious cockpit with two steering positions and fixed fold-out cockpit table. All halyards and sheets are led back to the cockpit so sail handling is very easy. Spacious foredeck with large anchor locker. Bathing platform is prone to rot in plywood under teak on this model. I have removed the teak/plywood and laminates a new one with solid fiberglass laminate and new gelcoat with anti-slip. Smal damages in the gelcoat sanded and filled by a professional 2025. Below deck:
Spacious L-galley on starboard side with two sinks, large cooler with freezer (unknown condition of compressor), gas stove with two burners. Nice chart table on port side.
Large toilet/shower room on port side with entrance to storage room. On starboard side aft there is a spacious owner's cabin with king size double bed (180x200cm) and good ventilation both to the cockpit, in the ceiling and towards the deck.
The salon has been newly upholstered by a tailor, with sofas on both sides with plenty of storage space in the cupboards and under the sofa benches. The starboard side can be converted into a double bed for extra crew.
The Samsung The Frame 32” smart TV is mounted completely flush on the bulkhead and without visible cables. The large windows on the ship’s side, deck and ship’s side make the salon and galley very bright and pleasant. Here you stand in the galley with a full view of the outside world without the “basement feeling” that can be found in other boats.
In the bow there is a double berth and plenty of cupboard and shelf space.
Seaworthiness:
She is CE certified class A for 9 people for sailing over the open sea, so with her you can realize your dreams of long-distance sailing. With both mainsail and genoa furling, this is a boat that is very easy to handle. All sheets and halyards are led to the cockpit.
Engine and equipment:
The engine room can be opened from all directions. It provides good access to the Yanmar 40hp engine. diesel. She is equipped with a reliable 40 HP Yanmar, serviced last winter. The engine starts and runs "like clockwork"
