NICE (ex CAPRICORNO) is a masterpiece of design and technology, transformed from a stripped-down racer into a luxurious, go-anywhere performance cruiser through her restyling by Nauta Design. This 78’ sailing thoroughbred combines a series of wins in some of the world’s most competitive regattas with a history of worldwide cruising.

FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:

NICE (ex CAPRICORNO) began life as MORNING GLORY, a pure racing yacht and one of the first built in pre-preg carbon fibre. In her first life she built an outstanding pedigree, winning the Sydney-Hobart and the Cape Town-Rio races among many other prestigious regattas.

With both mast and rigging in carbon fibre, NICE also carries a set of 2021-22 North 3Di sails, a new bulb and a new rudder blade.

NICE has continued to be victorious in regattas ever since, having set a record at the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers in 2006 of 11 days and 5 hours, a time that stood unbeaten for many years. More recently she has won the Mini Maxi class in Sardinia in consecutive years, as well as the 2022 IMA Mediterranean Maxi Inshore Challenge.

In 2004/05 her then owner converted the originally spartan racing interior into a comfortable cruising configuration, while retaining much of the original character through the extensive use of composite materials, giving the interior a modern, contemporary feel. A further major refit followed in 2013, when the interior was completely renewed by Indiana Yacht on behalf of Nauta Design, and the yacht has continued to be refitted in 2019/20 and again in 2025 at Ice Yachts.

A rare combination of pedigree, pace and comfort, NICE is one of very few yachts on the market today able to offer both a record of world-class racing success and a genuine, well-equipped cruising interior.

NICE boasts many specification highlights including:-
Pre-preg carbon fibre construction finished in Awlgrip Matterhorn white
