XBOAT ref :1661.
Gallian 13 Ketch, Carène Design by Herbulot.

This boat underwent a complete refit in 2020 in preparation for a world tour that unfortunately could not be completed by the current owner.

The two engines were replaced with 2 new VOLVO PENTA D2 50 HP, the yard performed extensive work replacing all the engine components, propeller shafts, steering, fuel tanks, rudder bearings, hydraulic systems, and much more.

The electrical and electronic systems were also fully renewed.

Complete invoice dossier. Over €90,000 spent. Expert report available upon request.

Gallian 13 Ketch from 1977 designed by Jean-Jacques Herbulot.

A skirt was added, increasing the boat's length to 14.90 meters.

The hull is made of epoxy plywood, as is the skirt, which is fully integrated into the hull, attached to the frames and stringers.

Equipped for ocean voyaging with 4 solar panels of 50 watts each and an Air Breeze 400-watt wind generator: the system powers the 600 ampere service batteries. The boat is electrically self-sufficient. All lighting is LED.

1 side cabin with a large double berth, a wardrobe. Located in the center of the boat.

1 forward double cabin.

2 bunk beds in the starboard passageway, the upper one convertible into a double berth.

1 heads compartment (sink, shower, and WC with black water tank) accessible from the forward cabin and the owner's cabin.

1 saloon offset to port, comfortably seating 8 guests.

1 long galley equipped with a 2-burner stove with oven, two large refrigerators, a sink with drainer, and a worktop.

1 spacious wheelhouse protected by a rigid canopy extended by an awning on a stainless steel frame.

A large table with benches underneath, providing ample storage. The arrangement forms a true living space, both at sea and at anchor, facilitated by easy circulation and almost level access (2 steps between the wheelhouse and the interior).

1 large aft skirt and swim ladder for easy swimming and boarding at anchor.

Equipped with davits: ketch rig with a mizzen sail on a furler, a mainsail with three reefs and a rigid vang, a furling genoa, and a removable forestay. The sail inventory includes a reefed jib, a staysail, a storm jib; these sails are rigged on 2 symmetric spinnakers (one light and one heavy) and an asymmetric spinnaker with its sock.

1 Delta anchor of 30 kg with 60 meters of chain + a plow anchor. More details and pictures on xboat.uk
