Niebla was conceived for an owner with an 18-metre mooring outside his home, who knew exactly what was needed to fill the space: a new, fin-keel-free, moderately displaced yacht with classic lines, easily handled by two to three people, simple to maintain, and offering maximum comfort within the elegant proportions of a long-ended design. Her design was inspired by the 1926 Alfred Mylne Bermudan cutter Chicane, widely regarded as a benchmark of classic functionality in a manageable size. Captivated by her timeless charm, the current owner has cherished Niebla for nearly twenty years, a true testament to the yacht’s enduring appeal. Niebla has completed comfortable transatlantic crossings and explored both sides of the ocean, from the breezy Caribbean islands to the serene fjords and sounds of Germany and Denmark’s Baltic coast. Recently given a light refit at one of Germany’s leading yards, including replacement of the rod rigging and B&G navigation equipment, as well as professionally refinished varnish work in 2021, Niebla is now ready for new adventures. Niebla è stata pensata per un proprietario che ha un posto barca di 18 metri vicino a casa sua e sapeva esattamente cosa serviva per riempire quello spazio: una barca a vela nuova, senza chiglia a pinna, con un dislocamento moderato e linee classiche, facile da gestire con due o tre persone, semplice da mantenere e che offrisse il massimo comfort con le proporzioni eleganti di un design dalla prua lunga. Il suo design è ispirato al cutter Bermudan Chicane di Alfred Mylne del 1926, considerato da molti un punto di riferimento per la funzionalità classica in dimensioni gestibili. Affascinato dal suo fascino senza tempo, l'attuale proprietario ha amato Niebla per quasi vent'anni, a testimonianza del fascino intramontabile dello yacht. Niebla ha completato comode traversate transatlantiche ed esplorato entrambe le sponde dell'oceano, dalle ventilate isole dei Caraibi ai tranquilli fiordi e alle insenature della costa baltica della Germania e della Danimarca. Recentemente sottoposta a un leggero refitting in uno dei principali cantieri tedeschi, che ha compreso la sostituzione delle sartie e delle apparecchiature di navigazione B&G, nonché una riverniciatura professionale nel 2021, Niebla è ora pronta per nuove avventure.
