The Contrast 33 was a hit from the moment it was first presented. The first model was shown in 1978, while this one was built in 1988. Over two hundred and fifty boats have been built and the boat has a solid reputation for quality and is a true classic. The boat was developed without being guided by any measurement rules, but the sailing qualities were put first. She was thus a "contrast" (hence the name) to competitor boats such as Scampi, Linjett 32, Comfort 32, Comfortina and others, which with their wide hulls and narrow sterns were hampered by the now extinct IOR rule. Thus, the Contrast is still a modern boat with its somewhat slimmer and more linear hull shape without speed-limiting measurement rule adaptation. A predecessor to most of today's newly built boats.

"A fast, modern and spacious family boat without compromise", was the unanimous verdict. The Contrast 33 has an LYS of 1.16 and is considered a fast and well-sailing boat. Not least on the race courses, the Contrast 33 has been successful in the Gotland Round, Själland Round and Tjörn Round, among others. The Contrast 33 has many of the attributes that contribute to good performance. She is, as I said, a slightly narrower boat than the usual 33-footers. The bow is clearly sharp and the width in the waterline is moderate. Perfect rudder feel and stiff when the wind picks up.
The Contrast 33 is easy to sail and fast, yet spacious and safe. A well thought-out deck layout with a flat deck makes the 33 easy to work on. The cockpit is very large, and the genoa and main halyards are pulled there. The trimable rig of 7/8 part type without backstay gives together with the hull shape very good speed characteristics. With a furling jib type hood as this boat has or small cross jib you easily sail a Contrast 33 alone.

The cockpit can accommodate a whole family and everyone can sit comfortably, even on the nicely rounded sides. The wide stern has spacious stowage compartments and there are sturdy reinforcements under the winches and bulkhead rails.

Spacious forepeak for two people and double berth in the stern. Functional toilet directly to port of the stairs with newer electrical flushing and septic tank. Two longitudinal sofas provide plenty of space around the dinner table and extra sleeping places if needed. The navigation table is located on the port side.

Il Contrast 33 è stato un successo fin dalla sua presentazione. Il primo modello è stato presentato nel 1978, mentre questo è stato costruito nel 1988. Sono state costruite oltre 250 imbarcazioni e la barca ha una solida reputazione di qualità ed è un vero classico. L'imbarcazione è stata sviluppata senza essere guidata da alcuna regola di misurazione, ma le caratteristiche di navigazione sono state messe al primo posto. Si trattava quindi di un "contrasto" (da cui il nome) rispetto a barche concorrenti come Scampi, Linjett 32, Comfort 32, Comfortina e altre, che con i loro scafi larghi e le loro prue strette erano ostacolate dalla regola IOR, ormai estinta. Ciò significa che il Contrasten è ancora un'imbarcazione moderna con la sua forma di scafo leggermente più sottile e lineare, senza l'adattamento alla regola di misurazione che limita la velocità. Un predecessore della maggior parte delle barche di nuova costruzione di oggi.

\"Una barca familiare veloce, moderna e spaziosa senza compromessi", è stato il verdetto unanime. Il Contrast 33 ha un LYS di 1,16 ed è considerato un'imbarcazione veloce e maneggevole. Soprattutto sui campi di regata, il Contrast 33 ha avuto successo, tra l'altro, nel Gotland Round, nel Själland Round e nel Tjörn Round. Il Contrast 33 possiede molte delle caratteristiche che contribuiscono a ottenere buone prestazioni. Come già detto, è una barca leggermente più stretta rispetto ai soliti 33 piedi. La prua è ovviamente affilata e la larghezza al galleggiamento è moderata. La sensazione del timone è perfetta e rigida quando si alza il vento.
Il Contrast 33 è facile da navigare e veloce, ma anche spazioso e sicuro. Un layout di coperta ben studiato con un ponte piatto rende la 33 facile da gestire. Il pozzetto è molto ampio e la drizza del genoa e della randa vi si ritraggono. L'armo trimmabile a 7/8 senza paterazzo, insieme alla forma dello scafo, offre ottime caratteristiche di velocità. Con un fiocco avvolgibile a cappa, di cui questa barca è dotata, o con un piccolo fiocco incrociato, puoi navigare facilmente su un Contrast 33 da solo.

Il pozzetto può ospitare un'intera famiglia e tutti possono sedersi comodamente, anche sui lati ben arrotondati. L'ampia poppa è dotata di spaziosi vani portaoggetti e ci sono robusti rinforzi sotto le guide del verricello e delle paratie.

Ampio gavone di prua per due persone e cuccetta doppia a poppa. Una funzionale toilette direttamente a babordo delle scale con sciacquone elettrico e serbatoio settico di ultima generazione. Due divani longitudinali offrono molto spazio intorno al tavolo da pranzo e posti letto extra se necessario. Il tavolo di navigazione si trova sul lato sinistro.
