The Barkas Buchliner 8.50 is a robust and solidly built steel motor yacht, designed by engineer LM Huitema. A special vessel with surprisingly ample space and, above all, a very large cruising area. Thanks to the shallow draft of only 0.62 meters and a clearance height of approximately 1.68 meters, many smaller waterways and low bridges are also accessible.

The spacious open cockpit sits close to the water and connects to the virtually level cabin with just one step. Inside, the beautiful teak interior immediately catches the eye. The saloon has nearly 2 meters of headroom and features a cozy seating area, galley, and interior helm. Next to the helm and in front of the dinette, on the starboard side, is a second, very practical cupboard with three shelves.

At the front is a separate cabin with two fixed berths, a toilet compartment, and a wardrobe. The dinette can be used as a third berth.

The Barkas features both interior and exterior steering. The Vetus 42 hp four-cylinder diesel engine has approximately 1,891 operating hours. Thanks to the presence of both bow and stern thrusters, the ship is particularly easy to maneuver.

The ship is also fully equipped. The upholstery was renewed in 2019, and two new 120 Ah batteries were installed in 2025. Furthermore, it features heating, a 50-liter boiler, a refrigerator, solar panels, and shore power, among other things.
