This Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 479 combines a spacious cruising layout with four double cabins and four heads, accommodating eight guests in the cabins, with two additional berths available when the saloon table is converted. The interior includes a U-shaped saloon seating area, a navigation station, storage, cooling fans and curtains or blinds. The galley is arranged with a stainless-steel sink, two-burner cooker and oven, plus two refrigerators/freezers. The yacht measures 14.43 m overall, with a 4.49 m beam and 1.75 m maximum draft.

Propulsion is provided by a Yanmar 4JH57X1 diesel engine rated at 56 HP, driving through a sail drive, with 3124 engine hours stated. The sloop rig carries an in-mast furling mainsail and furling genoa. Sail handling is supported by two electric Harken winches and two manual Harken winches, while a Quick bow thruster assists manoeuvring.
