Plans were made to make a Pacific crossing, but circumstances prompted a change of plans, so the current owners have reluctantly decided to sell their beloved vessel with everything that is now on board.

In terms of comfort, the Lagoon 450 S does not disappoint. The spacious 3 cabin layout features beautiful Blond Oak interior woodwork complemented by Milano flooring for a modern touch. The well-equipped galley features two INOX 1301 refrigerators for ample food storage. The 220v microwave oven with grill functionality and new Electrolux Bridgeburner 4-burner propane stove with oven makes for versatile and easy meal preparation. S/V MAITAI is powered by two perfectly maintained 57 hp Yanmar 4JH57 SD60 engines. The engines have 6,000 hours on them but are in like-new condition and were serviced and fully overhauled in Guadeloupe. It's been noted that these engines could last up to 12,000 hours with continued care. All lower sail drive components are new, the sail drives were serviced 3 months ago with new seals. The sail inventory consists of: a 947 sq ft fully battened Main sail in excellent condition with stack pack, and a 1399 sq ft Head sail with roller furling also in excellent condition. There are electric winches for easier line management and all standing and running rigging has been replaced.

This vessel has undergone extensive refurbishments and upgrades, with a significant investment dedicated to its enhancement in South Africa and the Caribbean in 2025.
