Victron-Inverter wandelt 48V auf 12V um, sodass Kühlbox, Handyladung und Beleuchtung jederzeit funktionieren.

Anyone familiar with Berlin’s waterways knows what that means: a summer day on the Havel or the Spree, no need to refuel, no license required, with eight people on board.


The SunCat 21 is an electric catamaran with a 22 kWh LiFePO4 battery capacity for cloudy days and a 2024 ePropulsion outboard motor—not a used, well-worn engine, but a brand-new unit with no history. In 2024 and 2025, the boat underwent a complete overhaul: new motor drive, hull freshly painted gray with antifouling, new synthetic teak flooring, and new upholstery. Visually and technically, it’s on par with a new boat. CE Category C—which is unusual for an electric catamaran of this size and significantly expands the range of waters it can navigate. A Victron inverter converts 48V to 12V, ensuring the cooler, cell phone chargers, and lighting work at all times.


Regarding battery consumption: Only 5% battery drain per hour in direct sunlight; approximately 7% battery drain under normal daylight conditions.
