The Wauquiez Hood 38 is arranged for comfortable cruising, with two cabins, a convertible dinette and one bathroom with a Jabsco manual toilet. The galley includes an oven, two-burner stove and Isotherm refrigerator, while onboard entertainment comprises a Samsung TV/DVD and Bluetooth audio with speakers inside and in the cockpit. Fresh-water capacity is 150 L, with an 18 L black-water tank and an Isotherm 18 L boiler.
On deck, equipment includes a cockpit-controlled Lofrans windlass, 80 m of 8 mm chain and three anchors: Delta, Danforth and a spare. Seven Lewmar winches, Harken furling gear, a bowsprit and spinnaker pole support the sail plan. The cockpit has a table, awning and stern platform with gangway and swimming ladder; two 100 W Victron solar panels are mounted on the rollbar. Principal dimensions are 11.60 m LOA, 3.63 m beam and 3.30–1.40 m draft.
Propulsion is provided by a fully overhauled Perkins 48 HP engine with approximately 480 hours and a three-blade propeller. The renewed 12 V electrical system includes Victron charging equipment, four 6 V 150 Ah service batteries dated 2022, a 95 Ah Varta engine battery dated 2021, a Sterling Power 2700 W inverter, solar panels and a Silent Wind generator. Navigation equipment includes Raymarine GPS/chartplotter, radar, autopilot, wind and depth instruments, plus VHF and AIS SART. Extended cruising systems include a Schenker Modular 30 PL watermaker and Webasto water heating.
