 De Vindö 40 is een Zweeds ontwerp, en is gebouwd op de Nötesunds Varv op Orust, de voorloper van de bekende Hallberg-Rassy werf. Veel kenmerken komen dan ook overeen.  Zo heeft de boot een robuuste constructie, wat bijdraagt aan zijn duurzaamheid en zeewaardigheid. De boot vaart dan ook zeer betrouwbaar, ook als de omstandigheden zwaarder worden. Daarmee is de boot geschikt voor lange tochten en oceaanzeilen. Met de gelakte houten opbouw, witte romp en teak dek is het een charmante en tijdloze uitstraling. Aan het dek kan men weliswaar de jaren ervaring zien, maar het is wel dicht.

Het interieur is knus en scheeps. Bij binnenkomst is bakboord de kombuis en stuurboord de navigatie hoek. Midscheeps is de salon met langsbanken en te verlagen tafel midscheeps. In de boeg is een tweepersoonshut, en stuurboord achter een loodskooi. Door de salontafel te verlagen kunnen er nog 2 slaapplaatsen worden gecreëerd. 

De boot heeft jarenlange liefdevol onderhoud gehad en gaat 's winters altijd in een hal. Transport ging met een omgebouwde trailer die optioneel kan worden meegeleverd. Wanneer u een fraai gelijnd klassiek jacht zoekt, geschikt voor verre reizen, dan is deze Vindö 40 een aantrekkelijke keuze. The Vindö 40 is a Swedish design, and was built at the Nötesunds Varv on Orust, the forerunner of the well-known Hallberg-Rassy yard. Many features are therefore similar. For example, the boat has a robust construction, which contributes to its durability and seaworthiness. The boat therefore sails very reliably, even when the conditions become tougher. This makes the boat suitable for long trips and ocean sailing. With its painted wooden superstructure, white hull and teak deck, it is a charming and timeless look. Although one can see the years of experience on the deck, it is dense.

The interior is cozy and ship-like. Upon entering, port side is the galley and starboard side is the navigation corner. Amidships is the salon with longitudinal settees and table to be lowered amidships. In the bow is a double cabin, and starboard aft a pilot berth. By lowering the saloon table, 2 more berths can be created.

The boat has had years of loving maintenance and always goes into a hallway during the winter. Transportation was with a converted trailer that can be optionally included.
