Das Segelboot Iduna wurde 1967 in Henån auf der Insel Orust in Schweden gebaut. Ich habe sie vor dem Vergammeln gerettet. Vergessen und verlassen stand sie in einer Ecke. Kaputt und nicht schwimmfähig. 5 Jahre lang habe ich restauriert, wir haben so viel getan und gelernt. Nun lebt sie wieder und will gesegelt werden.

Der Rumpf wird jedes Jahr lackiert, wartet aber noch auf das Lack refit. So wie das Cockpit. Da hat sich der alte gebeizte Lack gelöst und ich habe zu Beginn erst mal ein neues Lacksystw aufgetragen, um das Holz zu schützen.
Das einzige Manko ist eine Stelle an der Kajüte an Backbord, dort muss noch etwas Holz getauscht werden. Das wäre mein nächstes Projekt oder das eines Bootsbauers.

Es gibt einen Winterbock und einen Hafentrailer zum Boot. Nichts davon ‚muss’ übernommen werden.

The sailboat Iduna was built in 1967 in Henån on the island of Orust in Sweden. I saved her from falling into disrepair. Forgotten and abandoned, she stood in a corner—broken and unseaworthy. I spent five years restoring her; we’ve done so much and learned so much. Now she’s back to life and ready to sail.

The hull is painted every year but is still awaiting a full paint refit. The same goes for the cockpit. The old stained paint had peeled off there, so I started by applying a new coat of paint to protect the wood.
The only drawback is a spot on the port side of the cabin where some wood needs to be replaced. That would be my next project—or a boatbuilder’s.

The boat comes with a winter cradle and a harbor trailer. You’re under no obligation to take either of these.
