Die Van de Stadt 56 VIRGIN LUCIA befindet sich seit 2003 in den sorgfältigen Händen ihres zweiten deutschen Eigners und ist ein hervorragendes Beispiel für einen gut gepflegten Aluminium-Hubkiel-Cruiser.

Ursprünglich für sicheres und schnelles Passagemachen gebaut, hat sich die VIRGIN LUCIA bei unterschiedlichsten Bedingungen bewährt und ist für komfortables Fahrtensegeln ausgelegt. Zwischen 2015 und 2018 wurde sie einer umfangreichen Überholung unterzogen und seitdem nur wenig gesegelt. Sie wurde regelmäßig gewartet und befindet sich weiterhin in gutem Zustand. Wir haben sie persönlich inspiziert und können bestätigen, dass sie bereit für ihre nächste Reise ist.

Ihr Deckslayout ist übersichtlich und praxisgerecht gestaltet. Das geschützte Cockpit verfügt über zwei Steuerstände, ein festes Sprayhood und ein fest installiertes Bimini, das die Crew vor Witterungseinflüssen schützt. Das Segelhandling ist effizient: Zwei hydraulische Lewmar-Winschen und sämtliche Schoten, die ins Cockpit geführt sind, machen das Boot auch mit kleiner Crew gut beherrschbar.

Das Slup-Rigg mit Aluminium-Mast, gepfeilten Salingen und optionalen Backstagen trägt 164 m² Am-Wind-Segel. Die Genua läuft auf einem hydraulischen Reckmann-Rollreff, und das Großsegel wird bequem in einem Carbon-V-Boom verstaut. Das ESTHEC-Deck, 2015 erneuert, ist pflegeleicht. Ein hydraulischer Bugstrahler unterstützt beim Manövrieren im Hafen.

Ein wesentliches Merkmal ist der hydraulisch verstellbare Hubkiel, der einen Tiefgang zwischen 1,60 m und 3,00 m ermöglicht — ideal, um flache Ankerbuchten zu erkunden, ohne Offshore-Performance einzubüßen.

Unter Deck bietet die VIRGIN LUCIA eine praktische und komfortable Aufteilung für Langfahrten. Es gibt drei Kabinen für bis zu sieben Gäste mit zwei Nasszellen. Die Eignerkabine im Vorschiff verfügt über eine Doppelkoje an Backbord und eine Einzelkoje an Steuerbord — optimal für flexible Schlafmöglichkeiten auf See. Im Vorschiff befindet sich ein eigenes Bad mit separater Dusche.

Im Achterschiff liegt eine Doppelkabine an Steuerbord mit direktem Zugang zum Tages-WC sowie eine Etagenbettkabine an Backbord mit eigenem Waschbecken. Salon und Pantry sind so gestaltet, dass sie auch auf See sicheres und komfortables Wohnen ermöglichen. Im Vorschiff befindet sich zudem ein Segelschrank mit Zugang zum Bugstrahler und Kettenkasten.

Technisch ist sie gut für autarkes Fahrtensegeln ausgerüstet: Dieselheizung, Klimaanlage, Wassermacher, Generator, Inverter und moderne B&G-Navigationselektronik sind vorhanden.

For sale is the robust and fast aluminum lifting keel cruiser VIRGIN LUCIA from 1997 in excellent condition!

The Van de Stadt 56 VIRGIN LUCIA has been in the careful hands of her second German owner since 2003 and is an excellent example of a well-maintained aluminum lifting keel cruiser.

Originally built for safe and fast passage making, VIRGIN LUCIA has proven herself in a wide range of conditions and is designed for comfortable cruising. She underwent an extensive refit between 2015 and 2018 and has been sailed very little since then. She has been regularly maintained and is still in good condition. We have personally inspected her and can confirm that she is ready for her next voyage.

Her deck layout is clear and practical. The sheltered cockpit has two helm stations, a fixed sprayhood and a permanently installed bimini to protect the crew from the weather. Sail handling is efficient: two hydraulic Lewmar winches and all sheets led into the cockpit make the boat easy to handle even with a small crew.

The slip rig with aluminum mast, swept spreaders and optional backstays carries 164 m² of am-wind sails. The genoa runs on a hydraulic Reckmann furler and the mainsail is conveniently stowed in a carbon V-boom. The ESTHEC deck, renewed in 2015, is easy to maintain. A hydraulic bow thruster assists with maneuvering in port.

A key feature is the hydraulically adjustable lifting keel, which enables a draught of between 1.60 m and 3.00 m - ideal for exploring shallow anchor bays without sacrificing offshore performance.

Below deck, the VIRGIN LUCIA offers a practical and comfortable layout for long voyages. There are three cabins for up to seven guests with two heads compartments. The owner's cabin forward has a double berth to port and a single berth to starboard - ideal for flexible sleeping arrangements at sea. The forward cabin has its own bathroom with separate shower.

In the aft section, there is a double cabin to starboard with direct access to the day toilet and a bunk bed cabin to port with its own washbasin. The saloon and galley are designed to ensure safe and comfortable living at sea. There is also a sail locker in the foredeck with access to the bow thruster and chain locker.

Technically, she is well equipped for self-sufficient cruising: Diesel heating, air conditioning, watermaker, generator, inverter and modern B&G navigation electronics are available.
