The Pogo Structures yard, whose boats are better known by the brand's short name Pogo, is already something of a legend among offshore skippers. Born out of founder Christian Bouroullec's passion for offshore racing, every Pogo – whether race machine or performance cruiser – shares the same DNA: fast above all on reaching courses, safe in any weather, comfortable within the scope set for each of them.
The key milestones in the company's history speak for themselves:
- Founded in 1987
- 1995 first production boat: the Pogo Mini-Transat, a Mini 6.50 built for the Mini-Transat race (singlehanded across the Atlantic in two legs), to the production-boat rules of the Mini class
- 1999 the Pogo 8.50 – a performance cruiser "on which the whole family will have fun in the Atlantic swell" (advertising)
- In the same year Christian Bouroullec wins the already famous Mini Atlantic race on the Pogo Mini-Transat. The start of a fascinating run of success in the Mini class
- In 2000 the Pogo 8.50 is voted "Boat of the Year" in France
- 2003 sees the launch of the Pogo2. In the same year Erwan Tymen, head of engineering and design at Structures, wins the Mini-Transat on a Pogo 2. Christian Bouroullec finishes fifth on a Pogo 8.50 in the Trans-Quadra (a singlehanded and shorthanded transatlantic race scored under IRC rules).
- In 2004 "structures" introduces a new vacuum-infusion construction technique for all Pogo models.
- 2006: With the Pogo 40, Structures revolutionizes the Class 40 offshore racing class.
- In 2006 the Pogo 10.50 with its lifting keel is named "Boat of the Year" in France
- In 2012 the yard is honored once again: this time for the Pogo 12.50, which was crowned "European Boat of the Year".
- 2012: The first Pogo 50 comes onto the market. An elegant and easy-to-handle performance cruiser designed so that small crews and families can sail fast and far.
- 2013: The Pogo 30 conquers the 30-foot market
- In 2016 the Pogo 3 – the third production Mini from Structures Pogo – wins every race in the Mini class.
- 2017 Pogo 36
- Premiere of the Loxo 32, a powerboat!
- 2019: A new Mini prototype with a scow bow and foils! The first Mini to really "fly" stably on foils. The skipper is Bouroullec's son Tanguy
- 2020: The Pogo 44 thrills the world of cruising sailors
- 2021: Three 40s4 (design: Verdier), with scow bows, shake up the Class 40 scene
