Die International 1006 (oft auch als International 10.06 oder OL 1006 bezeichnet) ist eine schlanke, dänische Performance-Segelyacht.
Sie wurde von dem bekannten dänischen Schiffskonstrukteur Arne Borghegn entworfen und von der Werft OL Boats in Dänemark gefertigt (insgesamt wurden nur rund 40 bis 50 Exemplare gebaut).

Das Boot zeichnet sich durch seine extrem schnittige, skandinavische Linienführung aus (Längen-Breiten-Verhältnis von über 4:1) und gilt unter Kennern als sportlicher, anspruchsvoller Cruiser-Racer für Liebhaber klassischer Segeleigenschaften.

Flushdecker (International 1006): Die puristische, sportliche Variante mit einem durchgehend flachen Vordeck ohne klassischen Kajütaufbau.

Segeleigenschaften & HandlingIn Segel-Communitys wie dem Segeln-Forum wird die Yacht für ihre hervorragende Bauqualität und ihr aktives Segelverhalten geschätzt. Sportliches Segeln: Durch das schlanke Design und die Bauweise läuft sie hervorragend Höhe am Wind, benötigt bei auffrischendem Wind wegen ihrer Rankheit jedoch frühzeitig das erste Reff. Bedienung: Sie besitzt eine fraktionierte Takelung (Fractional Sloop) und wird klassisch mit Backstagen gesegelt, was ein gutes Gespür beim Trimmen erfordert. Zudem gilt der Rumpf als extrem kursstabil, er neigt kaum zu Sonnenschüssen. Ab Werk waren zudem die Tanks für Frischwasser (ca. 60 Liter) und Diesel (ca. 40 Liter) relativ klein dimensioniert. Ein großer Vorteil der geringen Breite: Das Boot lässt sich mit der entsprechenden Ausrüstung (und einem geeigneten Zugfahrzeug) theoretisch noch ohne Sondergenehmigung auf der Straße trailern.

The International 1006 (often referred to as the International 10.06 or OL 1006) is a sleek, Danish performance sailing yacht.
It was designed by the renowned Danish ship designer Arne Borghegn and built by the OL Boats shipyard in Denmark (only about 40 to 50 units were built in total).

The boat is characterized by its extremely sleek, Scandinavian lines (length-to-beam ratio of over 4:1) and is regarded by connoisseurs as a sporty, sophisticated cruiser-racer for enthusiasts of classic sailing characteristics.

Flush-deck (International 1006): The minimalist, sporty variant with a continuously flat foredeck and no traditional cabin structure.

Sailing Characteristics & Handling: In sailing communities such as the Segeln Forum, the yacht is highly regarded for its outstanding build quality and responsive handling. Sporty Sailing: Thanks to its sleek design and construction, it performs exceptionally well close-hauled; however, due to its slenderness, it requires the first reef early on when the wind picks up. Handling: It features a fractional sloop rig and is traditionally sailed with backstays, which requires a good feel for trimming. In addition, the hull is considered extremely course-stable and shows almost no tendency to luff. Ex works, the tanks for fresh water (approx. 60 liters) and diesel (approx. 40 liters) were also relatively small. A major advantage of the narrow beam: With the proper equipment (and a suitable tow vehicle), the boat can theoretically still be towed on the road without a special permit.
