Die Southerly 105 Ketch (Baujahr 1981) verfügt über einen elektrohydraulischen Hubkiel und ein höhenverstellbares Ruder. Dadurch vereint sie hervorragende Segeleigenschaften mit einem variablen Tiefgang von ca. 1,00 bis 2,10 Metern und eignet sich somit ideal für Küsten- und Gezeitengewässer wie die Ostsee, Nordsee, Wattenmeer und Binnengewässer. Die relativ seltene Ketsch-Version bietet zusätzliche Flexibilität beim Segelhandling. Dank des geschützten Mittelcockpits, und des zusätzlichen Innensteuerstandes ist die Yacht sowohl für Solo- als auch für kleine Crews leicht zu handhaben.
Umfangreiche Investitionen und technische Modernisierungen: Die bedeutendste Maßnahme war die Generalüberholung der Kielstruktur inkl. neuer Hydraulikpumpe 2024. 2023-2024: Komplett Erneuerung des stehenden und laufenden Guts, neues Furlex-Rollreffsystem, Raymarine-Linearautopilot auf einem verstärkten Ruderschaftquadranten, Raymarine Tridata mit NMEA2000, neue Vetus-Rumpffenster, Autotherm-Dieselheizung, neues Vetus Bugstrahlruder, neuer Abwassertank inkl Abwasserschläuche, komplette Erneuerung der elektrischen Anlage inklusive neues Schaltpanel und 220V-Anschlüsse. 2026: neuer Antifouling-Anstrich und neue Servicebatterie (2026).
An Bord wurde besonderer Wert auf Komfort und Funktionalität gelegt. Vier zusätzliche Bodenluken schaffen rund 400 Liter zusätzlichen Stauraum, groß genug für zB. ein Faltrad. Zudem ist der Stauraum für eine Lithium-Batteriebank mit bis zu ca. 600 Ah vorbereitet. Die Aufteilung bietet Schlafplätze für 7 bis 8 Personen, einen hellen Salon, eine geräumige Achterkabine und einen gut belüfteten Innenraum mit hochwertigen Teakholzarbeiten.
Zusammen mit dem umfangreichen Segelbestand und der kompletten Navigations- und Decksausrüstung ergibt sich so ein besonders vollständiges und gut erhaltenes Exemplar der Southerly 105 Ketch.

The Southerly 105 Ketch (built in 1981) features an electrohydraulic lifting keel and a height-adjustable rudder. This allows it to combine excellent sailing characteristics with a variable draft of approximately 1.00 to 2.10 meters, making it ideal for coastal and tidal waters such as the Baltic Sea, North Sea, Wadden Sea, and inland waters. The relatively rare ketch configuration offers additional flexibility in sail handling. Thanks to the sheltered center cockpit and the additional interior helm station, the yacht is easy to handle for both solo sailors and small crews.
Extensive investments and technical upgrades: The most significant measure was the complete overhaul of the keel structure, including a new hydraulic pump, in 2024. 2023–2024: Complete replacement of the standing and running rigging, new Furlex furling system, Raymarine linear autopilot mounted on a reinforced rudder stock quadrant, Raymarine Tridata with NMEA2000, new Vetus hull windows, Autotherm diesel heater, new Vetus bow thruster, new holding tank including waste hoses, complete renewal of the electrical system including a new switch panel and 220V outlets. 2026: new antifouling paint and new service battery (2026).
On board, special emphasis was placed on comfort and functionality. Four additional floor hatches provide approximately 400 liters of extra storage space, large enough for a folding bicycle, for example. In addition, the storage space is prepared for a lithium battery bank with a capacity of up to approximately 600 Ah. The layout offers sleeping accommodations for 7 to 8 people, a bright salon, a spacious aft cabin, and a well-ventilated interior with high-quality teak woodwork.
Together with the extensive sail set and the complete navigation and deck equipment, this results in a particularly well-equipped and well-maintained example of the Southerly 105 Ketch.
