Indretning:
Ved nedgangen til BB findes stort pantry med alle bekvemmeligheder og gode arbejdsforhold for kokken. I STB findes navigationscenter med alle nødvendige instrumenter samt stort og nemt overskueligt elpanel.
Forskibet rummer en stor Owners Cabin med Master Bed samt masser af skabsplads.
Mellem salon og forpeak findes mellemgang med stort toiletrum med vådskab og bruseniche. I STB i mellemgang findes stort klædeskab. I det hele taget er der overalt i båden masser af skabs- og stuveplads.
Salonen er luksuriøst og komfortabelt indrettet med meget stor U-sofa-arrangement i BB.
Også under sejl er en Malö 42 en fornøjelse at være ombord på – og det gælder under alle vejrforhold!
Båden har et dybt og velbeskyttet cockpit. Fra ratkonsollen kan skipperen styre alle funktionerne på skibet og de elektriske spil gør håndtering af sejlene til en leg. Bov- og agter-trusterne gør havnemanøvre ukomplicerede – uanset vejret.

Her ejers beskrivelse af vinteropbevaringen og løbende vedligehold af båden siden 2013:
Siden jeg(ejer) overtog båden i 2013, har båden været på værft hver eneste vinter. Værftet har hvert efterår forestået demontering af riggen, optagning af båden, højtryksspuling af undervandsskrog samt vask, deponering af båden i telt eller hal, vinterkonserveret motor og vandinstallationer, ladevedligeholdelse af batterier, samt i omvendt rækkefølge om foråret - klargjort båd. Udbedring af evt. småskader, udførelse af talte forbedringer og udskiftninger, rengøring bundmaling, polering, udskiftning af zink, motorklargøring, søsætning, tilrigning etc. Elvstrøm Sejl har hvert år demonteret sejlene, hjemtaget, eftergået og tørret dem, samt vinteropbevaret, samt tillige om foråret genmonteret dem. De værfter jeg har anvendt, er Jacob Jensens Bådeværft, Sletten Bådeværft (Boathouse), samt i 2024/25 Humlebæk Bådeværft, hvor jeg har fået ilagt ny motor og skiftet alle nåderne i teakdækket og på ruffet.
Ud over forbedringer og udskiftninger, er der således løbende blevet udført reparation af tilkomne små skader på gelcoat, søgelænder, fenderliste etc.
Tilsvarende har Elvstrøm Sejl løbende udskiftet UV filtre på sejlenes agter- og underlig samt andre ting.
