Tweestrijd is geen doorsnee lemsteraak, het is een schip met een ziel, gevormd door meer dan een eeuw historie en vakmanschap. Gebouwd in 1910 als robuuste visserman en in 1956 omgebouwd tot roefaak door Jachtwerf Stofberg, draagt zij nog altijd de sporen van haar werkzame verleden, gecombineerd met het comfort van een familiejacht. Sinds die transformatie in 1956 is zij onafgebroken in handen gebleven van dezelfde familie.

Aan boord vind je een eerlijke, spartaans ingerichte maar uiterst solide leefomgeving met 7 vaste en 2 extra slaapplaatsen. Authentieke details zoals de originele messing waterpomp, het karakteristieke tegelwerk, paneeldeuren en de massief mahoniehouten vloer, volledig demontabel voor inspectie van het vlak, geven het schip een warme, tijdloze uitstraling.

Bovendeks valt direct de ruime kuip met blokroosters op, ideaal voor lange dagen op het water. Het teakdek dateert uit 1988.

Onder de waterlijn is Tweestrijd grondig gemoderniseerd: in 2016 is een volledig nieuw vlak aangebracht (geen dubbelingen), met extra dikke huidplaten. Hierdoor is minder ballast nodig, momenteel circa 1000 kg lood, wat bijdraagt aan haar zeileigenschappen. Boven de waterlijn is zij nog altijd  geklonken, een prachtig detail dat haar klassieke uitstraling versterkt.

De tuigage is eveneens vernieuwd in de jaren: een complete zeilgarderobe en een nieuwe mast van Leospar, beide uit 2014, samen met een nieuwe giek uit datzelfde jaar. In 2023 zijn de motor en keerkoppeling gereviseerd.

Built in 1910 as a sturdy fishing boat and converted into a rowing barge in 1956 by Jachtwerf Stofberg, she still bears the marks of her working past, combined with the comfort of a family yacht. Since that transformation in 1956, she has remained in the hands of the same family without interruption.

On board, you’ll find an honest, spartanly furnished yet extremely solid living environment with 7 fixed and 2 additional berths. Authentic details such as the original brass water pump, the characteristic tiling, paneled doors, and the solid mahogany floor—which can be fully dismantled for hull inspection—give the vessel a warm, timeless appeal.

Above deck, the spacious cockpit with block grilles immediately catches the eye, ideal for long days on the water. The teak deck dates from 1988.

Below the waterline, Tweestrijd has been thoroughly modernized: in 2016, a completely new hull was installed (no double-hulled sections), featuring extra-thick hull plates. This reduces the need for ballast—currently approximately 1,000 kg of lead—which contributes to her sailing performance. Above the waterline, she is still riveted, a beautiful detail that enhances her classic appearance.

The rigging has also been updated over the years: a complete set of sails and a new mast from Leospar, both from 2014, along with a new boom from the same year. In 2023, the engine and gearbox were overhauled.
